For over two decades, All Makes & Models Auto Repair has been helping their customers in any way they can. Josue Solano, the current owner, is continuing his father’s legacy by maintaining a reputation for high- quality repairs and timely service. With a dedicated team of six, the residents of Tucson, Arizona know they can rely on this business for any repair need they may encounter.

Tucson, Arizona is located in the Sonoran Desert and is surrounded by five beautiful, minor mountain ranges. This city is the second largest in the state of Arizona, so, no matter if you’re looking for a lovely hike or a day at the rodeo, Tucson has it all. This shop is located just 45 minutes away from the United States and Mexico border, so they know how important marketing can be. With tough competition all around they make sure to position themselves as the shop to go to. When Josue is not in the shop, he’s using his free time to further his knowledge any way he can.

One of the biggest pieces of advice Josue can give other shop owners is to “work on your business, rather than in your business.” When you’re able to focus on growing your business and achieving your goals, you step into the role of owner rather than technician. At this point in Josue’s journey, he is in the shop less and less. He says, “I’m starting to enjoy all of the free time I’m able to take advantage of as I move closer and closer to becoming a fully operational shop!”

How has he been able to achieve this? Becoming a DRIVE client. “Joining DRIVE has been one of the best decisions we’ve ever made,” he says. Before working with DRIVE, he used to work 80 hours and 6 days a week. Now? His weeks are only 20 hours and 5 days – at the most! He has also seen a drastic change in his take home income, before it seemed like there was no money at the end of the day, but now he’s making the most money he ever has.

Josue’s favorite part of owning his own business is networking with his fellow shop owners. He says, “Talking with other owners helps me learn lots of information that normally take a while to come across on my own.” Having friends and connections in the industry helps him stay one step in front of his competitors. If he ever needs advice or ideas for his shop, he knows he can turn to those he already trusts. In turn, he also gets a chance to share his expertise and help his fellow owners in their times of need.

His favorite aspect of being a DRIVE client is the annual EXPO he gets to attend every year. “Every time we go to a DRIVE EXPO, we learn something new that makes it worthwhile,” he shares. When you’re at this premiere event, you’re surrounded by other shop owners, DRIVE employees, exhibitors, and other industry leaders. There are so many moments where you can connect and learn from one another. “We leave every EXPO with our batteries charged, full of positive energy. Selflessly, everyone shares their wisdom and knowledge and we’re able to take that home to better our business every day. We love taking advantage of the new ideas and implementing it into our shop!”

In the end, Josue is focused on continuing his family legacy with All Makes & Models Auto Repair. He is constantly meeting his goals and improving his business. Here’s to many more years of continued success!
